This is the first version of GemRB for AROS you may experience bugs and crashes,
please save a lot, thanks for your patience and understanding
You *MUST* have the original "classic" game files, Enhanced Editions are not
supported!
It's advisable to install the game on another platform (Windows/Linux) and/or
(if already installed) copy all the content to the sub directories in GemRB
drawer (eg. GemRB/bg1)
The "GemRB/gamename" directory should contain a directory named "data"
containing the .bif files
if you dont' have it, like in case of Planescape Torment, copy all the CD files
to a newely created data directory
If you just need to try the engine you can find BG1 and/or demo on the internet
Finishing the demo will crash the engine as it does expect the additionals game
files
Mods are supported you can install them on windows or linux, there can be some
bugs though
You can start a game using shell with gemrb -c config_file_name.cfg or creating
a launcher

KNOWN ISSUES
GemRB:
- Engine:
- Dialogue colors may be inconsistent, if you can't read the dialogue text or
names you can try to change protagonist/companion major and minor color (text
color is calculated from that), save and restart the engine
- GameType=auto does not work and crashes the engine
- Audio:
- If you use AudioDriver = openal (or leave it commented) the game may randomly
lose the background music, "freeze" entering a building or crash, please use
AudioDriver = sdlaudio or use OpenAL at your own risk
- AROS specific:
- On hosted games are quite slower then native
- If you have the games on a FAT32 partition it may crash, it's also recomended
to save games on a non-FAT32 partition, you can specify save location in the
configuration file
- If you put GemRB on a FAT32 partition it will not start at all
Games:
- BG1:
- Gorion will not speak and nothing will be displayed on "leaving Candlekeep"
cutscene
- SDL Audio will "cut" chapter narrator voice directly to lastest phrases
- Imoen portrait in Candlekeep is wrong
- BG1 Demo
- Gorion will not speak and nothing will be displayed on "leaving Candlekeep"
cutscene
- SDL Audio will "cut" chapter narrator voice directly to lastest phrases
- Imoen portrait in Candlekeep is wrong
- Leaving Candlekeep will crash the game instead of ending the demo
- BG2:
- Intro cutscene overhead text is a bit too fast
Mods:

- Widescreen mod
- BG1 interface may became buggy
